What windows you using?

I'm using win 7 don't like win 8 win 10 lol. Win 7 is really fast and no troubles with softwares and stuff. Tell me what your using?

Still on Win7 Ultimate here. Worked a little with Windows 10 and it does seem faster than 7 especially on an SSD. I'm sure I'll make the upgrade someday......

XP holdover!!! Have 7, 8.1 also and not too crazy about 8.1. Took the free 10 upgrade on my I7 machine and it killed it... reinstalled 7 and all is good!

There's no right or wrong, It depends on one's overall usability.
Personally, I Interchange between Windows 8 and Windows 10. A lot of users overlook the "edition" when selecting a given OS. For example, the less superior editions of Windows do not have BitLocker Drive Encryption, Group Policy Editor, Hyper-V and so forth, hence opting (example) for Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise will suffice.

I have as used all operating systems and i still use Xp to this day and as Ramis101 said
if it aint broke don't fix it....and XP isn't broke...
Sorry guys do not like 8 or 10 at all, so its XP or 7 for me....

It's surprising how many corporations and enterprises on a large scale, still use Windows XP nowadays.

For those who are still using XP, how do you keep your system secure? I know it's of course Microsoft, but since MS is not patching XP any longer it's why I ask.

My best advice is that the best security is the person behind the computer/device. If you're knowledgeable enough with Microsoft Windows or any other OS and devices, you'll do fine. By knowledgeable, I mean like you know lot's about the OS, etc. On my Windows 8 Machine, it's hardened yet severely outdated regarding Windows update. Why outdated? Because I'm lazy. xD If I feel like exploring with Windows XP and hardening it, I'll write up a guide.

I hear ya. I personally am done with XP. No use for it any longer.

I believe the reason why most don't use XP is because of security related issues(which is a big thing) since being abandoned by Microsoft and the somewhat lack of compatibility in today's world. While some businesses still use XP for corporate softwares, etc, many want to be able to use specific software which XP may not be able to handle or even run.

Security an antivirus can be used fro that. Your right with softwares new ones get trouble and alot don't install on because XP not made for new softwares.
